Children thrive in a conductive learning environment that is nurturing and supportive. The Tomorrow Trust Junior Saturday and Holiday school Programme offers holistic support during the holiday period as well as Saturdays to supplement, enhance and correct the education the learners are currently receiving in their schools and to also insure the readiness for the transition to senior phase.
This past Saturday, as we bid farewell to our literacy week we had the pleasure of hosting a picnic with some of our learners. They did a biodiversity walk in the park, read a few book by South African authors while enjoying some fresh fruit to nourish their growing bodies. The children used their imaginations to create their own stories based on what they were seeing around them.
“The greatest gift you can give a child is an imagination”- Eleanor Roosevelt”
The importance of school and learning readiness at the time the learners start school must be well established. A Grade 1 learner is expected to be physically, cognitively, and effectively ready for a solid base to build their school career on. Our Junior Programme is inclusive of developing the fundamental building blocks in the English language, literacy, and numeracy. The programme also hosts holistic workshops that provide not only academic support, but also builds a foundation for self-development and understanding. The programme provides nutritious meals as well as transport to and from the hosting venues.
Education is the process of receiving knowledge and information that ensures a successful future. The Tomorrow Trust paves a way for a bright future by supporting the learners in a holistic aspect and providing them with a space to grow and become better people in the future.
We would like to extend our gratitude to our sponsors for giving our learners a blissful yet educational experience – Monocle Solutions, The Nal’ibali Trust and Foodlovers
