Lethabo Sebothoma – comes from Thembisa, East of Johannesburg in the Gauteng Province. In 2012, she joined the Tomorrow Trust’s Holiday and Saturday School Programme when she was in Grade 10. She completed Grade 12 in 2014 and joined the Tomorrow Trust Tertiary Programme in 2015. Lethabo has always persevered and was determined to reach her academics goals. She enrolled at the University of the Witwatersrand soon after completing Grade 12 and obtained BSc Biology and Chemistry in 2018. End of 2019, Lethabo graduated with her 2nd degree, BSc Honours Animal, Plant and Environmental Sciences from the same university. She currently holds a presidential position in the DyondzoMahlweni organization, which helps disadvantaged high school learners with higher education applications and support to get them through their high school years. Lethabo registered to pursue MSc in Animal Plants and Environmental Sciences at the University of the Witwatersrand, focusing on Medicinal Plants for the 2020 academic year. She learned - “Life has taught me that it is possible to be what you want to be in life, and the crowd you surround yourself with plays a major role in your life decisions. it has taught me that for every fall, whether small or big, there is a rise and it is always spectacular at the end of the tunnel.”
