07 Mar Tomorrow Trust law student has fun doing a Freeing Freddie workshop with Grade 3 learners
Immaculate Lefifi, a Tomorrow Trust Law Student in South Africa taught a class of Grade 3 children how to deal with their fears and build their dreams using” Freeing Freddie- The dream weaver”. This donation was provided by USA Donors, Harold and Eugene Cohn in celebration of Immaculate’s diverse knowledge and inspiration that she showed towards them when they visited South Africa.
On the 1st March 2017, Immaculate and the Holiday School Team visited a small school in Mapetla, in Soweto, called Sediba Thuto Primary High School. Immaculate had the opportunity to read the “Freeing Freddie” story and explained the journey and relationship of Freddie and Mr Cotton. Children from disadvantaged communities are often trapped in fear and don’t have access to self-empowering information. They all had such fun making a “Brave Mask”. Each child was thrilled to have their own mask and to be “super heroes” in their own lives and within their community spreading dreams and combatting fear.
