Our Revolutionary Approach to Holistic Support and Skills Development

Learning

At The Tomorrow Trust, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their circumstances. Founded in 2005, our non-profit organisation proudly stands at the forefront of providing holistic support to orphaned and vulnerable children across South Africa.

Our approach goes beyond just academic support. We recognise that for children to truly thrive, they need more than just knowledge – they need a foundation built on growth, compassion, and social justice. This philosophy drives us to provide a well-rounded, integrated educational experience that nurtures their minds, equips them with valuable life skills, and prepares them for the challenges of the future.

The Tomorrow Trust’s holistic support model aims to address the full spectrum of a child’s needs, encompassing emotional, social, and intellectual development. We provide a variety of services that include academic tutoring, mentorship programmes, career guidance, and psychosocial support. These programmes are designed to not only improve academic performance but also to foster personal growth, resilience, and leadership skills – traits that are essential for success in both education and life.

In 2024, we witnessed the incredible impact of our Holiday and Saturday School Programme, which provides structured academic and emotional support to learners. Our Gauteng Grade 12 learners achieved an outstanding 99% pass rate, with 93% receiving a bachelor pass. Many of these learners began their journey with us in primary school, demonstrating the long-term benefits of our support. Moreover, our first Grade 12 cohort in the Western Cape achieved an impressive 85% pass rate, marking a major milestone for our organisation. At the tertiary level, our students achieved a 93% overall pass rate, with an incredible 92% success rate in our postgraduate programme, supporting 85% of previously disadvantaged students.

Recognising the need to extend our impact, we have also expanded our Holiday and Saturday School Programme to Limpopo, ensuring that more students have access to educational resources, mentorship, and skills development opportunities.

At The Tomorrow Trust, we are committed to equipping our learners with practical skills that will serve them in their careers and in their communities. We believe that education must go hand in hand with skill development to ensure long-term success. This is why we focus on providing mentorship that not only guides students academically but also fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork – key skills that are essential in today’s rapidly changing world.

Our skills development programmes are designed to prepare our learners for the demands of the workforce. From internships to leadership training, we ensure that students are ready to enter professional spaces with confidence, purpose, and the ability to make a meaningful impact. By instilling a sense of responsibility, compassion, and social justice, we are helping to build a new generation of conscious leaders who are equipped to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.

The Tomorrow Trust continues to grow, with a remarkable 29% organisational expansion since 2022. This reflects our commitment to bridging educational gaps and creating opportunities for South Africa’s youth. None of this would be possible without the unwavering commitment of our partners – 90% of whom have been supporting The Tomorrow Trust for over five years.

Our partnerships with businesses and communities further strengthen our impact, ensuring that our learners have access to the resources and opportunities they need to succeed. Through this collaborative approach, we create an environment where children can flourish, both inside and outside of the classroom.
