Every year, thousands of cyclists gather in Johannesburg for this epic ride, and this year, we’re inviting you to join our mission to make a lasting impact on the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children and youth in South Africa.
Why Ride with The Tomorrow Trust?
We believe in the transformative power of education. In a country where many bright young minds are held back by circumstances beyond their control, The Tomorrow Trust steps in to bridge the gap. For the past 19 years, we’ve been dedicated to providing holistic educational support to learners from underserved communities, helping them not only succeed academically but also grow into well-rounded individuals.
Consider these facts:
- Over 12 million learners in South Africa are enrolled in the public education system, but only 37% of those who start Grade 1 will matriculate.
- Of those who do complete high school, many lack the resources and support to pursue higher education or secure meaningful employment.
At The Tomorrow Trust, we are changing these statistics. Through our Holiday and Saturday School Programme, we support learners from Grade R to 12, providing supplementary education, psychosocial support, and nutritional meals. In 2023 alone, we served over 62,652 meals, ensuring our students were nourished both in body and mind.
Our Tertiary Bursary Programme goes even further, offering comprehensive bursaries to university students across South Africa. To date, we’ve awarded over 1,000 bursaries, covering tuition, living expenses, career development, and more. Each student is paired with a registered psychologist, ensuring they receive the emotional and psychological support needed to thrive.
